MEND A MIND YSI students Largy College, Clones, Co. Monaghan

I was delighted to accommodate the YSI (Young Social Innovators) students of Largy College and let them use my studio to complete their short film highlighting the effects of mental health issues within our community. Their project aims to eliminate the stigma that surrounds mental illness in our community and they are conveying this with film and awareness raising events in the locale. I must say it was great to see the students spend the full day making their film even though most schools in the country were closed due to strike. Well done to Laura and all her pals in transition year, hopefully ye will make a difference and as they say always try to put yourself in mind of how other people are feeling , you just never know what is going on with people  especially those who are close to you. A problem shared is a problem halved ......
